8th Annual “Roll & Stroll for Independent Living”Sponsored by North Broward Hospital District The Broward Homebound Program is promoting our 8th annual “Roll & Stroll for Independent Living” on May 30th that’s being held at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park on Sunrise Boulevard by the ocean. Please join our annual 3K walk benefiting our elderly and disabled adults. The walk begins at 9:00 am with registration starting at 8:15 am.

Enchanted Evening Update “An Enchanted Evening Under the Sea” event was held on November 7, 2008 at the Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. Michael Mayo the Broward Metro columnist for the Sun-Sentinel since 2002 was the event’s emcee. The Sun-Sentinel Children’s Fund was honored with the Broward Homebound Program, Inc.’s Second Annual “Community Impact Award”. Carey Codd, a CBS4 News Reporter, presented the award to Lori Dewitt the Sun-Sentinel’s Charities Manager, accepting in behalf of the Sun-Sentinel Children’s Fund. A special thank you was given to all the evening’s sponsors. The Coral Reef sponsor was Broward Health; the Angel Fish sponsors were American Ambulance and The Law Firm of Arnstein & Lehr; the Sand Dollar sponsors were A.M. Jones, C.P.A., P.A., Neu-Heart Extended Home Care, Pilot Club of Fort Lauderdale, and Trinity HealthCareServices.
