Assisted Care With Dignity in Broward County, Florida

Imagine you are homebound in a wheelchair, alone and scared. Daily tasks, such as cleaning, cooking, shopping, bathing, and dressing are often too difficult for you to perform physically. You must rely on the kindness and support of certified home health workers and dedicated volunteers so that you may reside in your own home. To continue this work we, at the Broward Homebound Program, also rely on caring individuals and corporate contacts, like you, to maintain quality of life to the elderly and disabled adults throughout Broward County.


The agency consists of three separate and distinct programs the help those homebound.


Elderly and Disabled Subsidy program

Our Elderly and Disabled Subsidy program provides case management and in home services to elderly and disabled adults who can afford to pay a portion of the cost of their care. Last fiscal year the program served 278 elderly and 240 disabled adults in Broward County, Florida.


Community Care for Disabled Adults program

Our second program is the Community Care for Disabled Adults program which provides free in home services, home delivered meals and adult day health care to permanently disabled adults between the ages of 18-59. Last fiscal year this program served 184 disabled adults. Currently, there are 382 disabled adults waiting for in home services.


AnniversaryHandicapped Meals and Medical Supply Program

The third program provided by B.H.P., Inc. is the Handicapped Meals and Medical Supply Program. This program provides home delivered meals and medical supplies to disabled adults who are temporarily or permanently disabled. Last fiscal year this program was able to serve 158 disabled adults with meals and supplies. There are still 78 waiting.

There is a Need

The need for in home care in broward county for disabled adults is tremendous. As of July 31, 2007 the B.H.P. Inc. has a waiting list of 382 disabled adults in need of in-home care and 78 in need of home delivered meals.


We need your donations and/or your time to make our assisted care available to the Broward community.
